Published by: The Gebbie Publishing Co., Ltd
This lot has 18 works of renowned french novelist H. De Balzac. This lot includes arguably his most influential work, being Father Goriot, otherwise known as Père Goriot. The other books included are Lost Illusions, A Bachelors Establishment, A Daughter, The Poor Parents Parts I & II, A Distinguished Provincial at Paris, Droll Stories Vol I & IL, The Deputy Forarcis Part I & II, The Harlots Progress Vol I & II, The Celibates, Bèatrix, A Woman of Thirty, The Country Doctor, and A Prince of Bohemia.
Each book is approx 8.5" x 6.25" with a depth of around 1.25"
These editions of these books were published circa the late 1890's.
300+ Pages per book.
The condition of these books is decent, especially given age. The covers are all worn on the edges, but still hold fast to the binding. The pages themselves are uneven and thus have worn on the edges, but there are no large rips or tears that we could find. The pages have yellowed but the ink is still sharp and vibrant. They're library edition, so they're incredibly rare finds.
