LOT OF VINTAGE MICHIGAN PHOTOGRAPH SCRAPBOOKS

This lot has hundreds of black and white photograph dating all the way back to the 1930's through to the end of the 20th century. They belonged to a man named Rolland Moore, who labeled each and every one of the photographs carefully. Included in this lot are 3 cloth bound scrapbooks and a bunch of loose photographs and greeting cards. 2 of the scrapbooks seem to have had their covers hand decorated, likely by Rolland Moore himself. The photographs show a range of subject from his time in the Military in the 1930's, to travel, to domestic life. Great find for any collector of old photography!

The fair celebrated the city's centennial. Designed largely in Art Deco style, the theme of the fair was technological innovation, and its motto was "Science Finds, Industry Applies, Man Conforms", trumpeting the message that science and American life were wedded.
