1950's 2 WHITE OWL BRAND Cigar Boxes "INVINCIBLE" Board Boxes
WHITE OWL BRAND CIGAR BOXES
White Owl is a brand of machine-produced cigars. The logo consists of a snowy owl perched on a cigar. White Owl was first created in 1887. In the 1920s, its "Invincible" cigar featured an imported Sumatran wrapper. In 1985, Production was moved from Pennsylvania to Dothan, Alabama.
The first box was "FLAVOR CONTROL" for a Light Smoke. "New Hole In Tip"
Originally 3 for 29 cents or 5 for 47 cents. Blended with Havana
Circa 1950's
In great condition. There's some yellowing on the inside and outside, as well as sticker residue from one of the original tags, but the wear is minimal
The second box is a Mild - Claro box
Originally 5 cents a cigar.
General Cigar Co
Undated
This box is in good condition. It has a little more wear than the first box, especially on the exterior, with some of the paper coverings peeling. Overall in good shape though, as shown in pictures.
Both boxes are approx 8.5" x 6" x 2.5"
